Summary

This study tested whether making cigarette packaging look plain and standardized would affect young adults' desire to quit smoking. Researchers enrolled 433 smokers aged 21-34 and showed them different types of packaging. The main goal was to see if simpler, less attractive packaging increased participants' motivation to stop smoking.
