First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can improve PTSD symptoms in 20 veterans. Participants will receive ten 40-minute rTMS sessions over 2-4 weeks, plus brain scans and blood tests to measure changes in brain activity and inflammation. The goal is to understand how rTMS works, not to prove it is a cure or long-term treatment.
