First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested a procedure called arthrocentesis (joint washing) for people with a displaced jaw disc that causes pain and limited mouth opening. One group received ozonated water alone, while the other also got a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection. The goal was to see which approach better reduced pain, improved jaw movement, and lowered inflammation. The trial included 20 adults who had not improved with standard care.
