Ozone vs. ozone & platelet injections: a jaw pain showdown
NCT ID NCT07452289
Summary
This study tested two procedures for a painful jaw joint condition where the disc is stuck out of place. Researchers compared washing the joint with ozone water alone versus combining the ozone wash with an injection of the patient's own concentrated platelets (PRP). They measured pain, how wide patients could open their mouths, jaw movement, and inflammation levels in the joint fluid.
