Botox vs platelet injections: which works better for jaw pain?

NCT ID NCT07385742

Summary

This small study compared two different injection treatments for painful jaw joint problems that cause clicking, pain, and limited mouth opening. Twenty patients received either a Botox injection into a jaw muscle or a platelet-rich fibrin injection directly into the joint space. Researchers tracked their pain levels, mouth opening, and joint sounds over six months to see which treatment worked better.
