Jaw pain relief showdown: scope vs. ultrasound

NCT ID NCT07316790

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of injecting medicine into the jaw joint to relieve pain and improve function. One method uses a small camera (arthroscope) for precise placement, while the other uses ultrasound guidance, which is less invasive and can be done in a clinic. The goal is to see which approach works better for people with long-term jaw pain and limited mouth opening.
