Summary

This study tested a new way to perform a jaw joint washout (arthrocentesis) for people with a painful TMJ disorder called internal derangement. Thirty adults received either the new method using a dental implant motor pump or the standard manual technique. Researchers measured changes in pain and jaw opening to see which approach worked better.
