Physio or mouthguard? small study tests best fix for jaw pain
NCT ID NCT07410091
Summary
This small, completed study compared two common treatments for painful jaw muscle disorders (TMD). It tested whether a 6-week physiotherapy program (with hands-on therapy and exercises) worked better than wearing a custom mouthguard at night. The goal was to see which approach helped adults reduce pain, open their mouth wider, and improve their quality of life.
