New skin cream shows promise for tough genetic skin disorder
NCT ID NCT05295732
Summary
This study tested whether a topical ointment called TMB-001 could safely and effectively treat two specific types of the genetic skin condition ichthyosis. It involved 153 people aged 6 and older who applied the ointment or a placebo cream to their skin for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the treatment could significantly reduce the scaling and cracking of the skin.
