First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the muscle relaxant tizanidine changes the ear's natural reflex that protects against loud sounds. Researchers will test hearing and reflex thresholds in 45 adults before and after taking tizanidine for one week. The goal is simply to learn more about how this drug affects the ear, not to treat any condition.
