First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study watches 150 adults having major surgery to see if a simple light sensor on the chin can detect early signs of poor blood flow. Doctors will compare the sensor readings with standard blood tests. The goal is to find a faster, non-invasive way to spot problems, but the study does not change any treatments.
