New bandage technique offers hope for women with painful shoulder cords after mastectomy
NCT ID NCT07024134
Summary
This study tested whether adding a technique called 'tissue flossing' to standard physical therapy helps women recover from a painful shoulder condition that can occur after breast cancer surgery. Tissue flossing involves wrapping a stretchy band tightly around the arm for a few minutes to improve blood flow and mobility. Researchers measured if this combination reduced shoulder pain and improved arm movement better than standard therapy alone in 155 women.
