New hope for inoperable esophageal cancer: drug combo aims to shrink tumors for surgery

NCT ID NCT07039162

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called tislelizumab, combined with standard chemotherapy and radiation, can shrink advanced esophageal cancer tumors enough to make surgery possible. The goal is to control the disease and improve survival for patients who currently have no surgical option. Researchers will enroll 45 adults with locally advanced, inoperable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma to see if this approach helps them live longer.
