Brain zaps target phantom ringing
NCT ID NCT02615600
Summary
This study tests whether daily, gentle electrical brain stimulation can reduce the bothersome ringing or buzzing sounds of chronic tinnitus. Researchers will apply the stimulation to both sides of the head for two weeks in 30 participants who have had tinnitus for over six months. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, practical, and helps lower the perceived burden of the condition.
