New drug aims to slow blindness from dry AMD

Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called tinlarebant in 429 adults with geographic atrophy, an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration that causes blind spots. The goal is to see if the drug can slow the growth of damaged areas in the eye and preserve vision. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo, and their eye health is tracked over time.
