Mushroom medicine for your mouth? Fungus-Based formula fights gum disease
NCT ID NCT07482878
Summary
This study is testing whether a toothpaste and dietary powder made from Tinder fungus (a type of mushroom) can help control gum disease when used alongside standard professional dental cleaning. Researchers will compare the fungus-based products to a regular commercial toothpaste to see if they better reduce gum bleeding. About 70 adults with moderate to severe gum disease will use the assigned products twice daily for 30 days while receiving professional cleaning.
