Scientists test 'Cancer-Fighting Virus' in patients with advanced tumors

NCT ID NCT04695327

Summary

This early-stage trial tested the safety of a new experimental treatment called TILT-123, a genetically modified virus designed to infect and kill cancer cells. The virus was injected directly into tumors in 32 patients with advanced solid cancers that had stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goal was to find a safe dose and understand the side effects of this new type of therapy.
