Fighting melanoma with your own immune cells: new trial challenges chemotherapy

Summary

This study is testing whether a personalized immune cell therapy works better than chemotherapy for advanced melanoma. Researchers will compare a one-time treatment using patients' own tumor-fighting immune cells against standard chemotherapy drugs. The trial will enroll 90 adults whose melanoma has worsened despite previous treatments, including immunotherapy.
