Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight advanced cancers
NCT ID NCT04967833
Summary
This early-phase study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a personalized immune cell therapy for adults with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. Doctors take a patient's own tumor-fighting immune cells, grow large numbers of them in a lab, and infuse them back into the patient. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and if it can shrink tumors.
