Scientists train Patients' own cells to fight deadly skin cancer

NCT ID NCT05098184

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a personalized immune cell therapy can help control advanced melanoma. Doctors take immune cells from a patient's own tumor, grow large numbers of them in a lab, then infuse them back into the patient after mild chemotherapy. The study aims to see if this approach is safe and can shrink tumors in people who have run out of standard treatment options.
