First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at what happens in the body after a tick bite that can lead to a red meat allergy called alpha-gal syndrome. Researchers will follow 100 adults who have been bitten by a tick, collecting blood samples and the tick itself. They want to find out why some people develop allergy-causing antibodies while others do not. The goal is to better understand the immune response and improve tick surveillance.
