Teens with tics: new study seeks to uncover hidden sensory and motor struggles
NCT ID NCT06576726
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how teens with tic disorders (like Tourette syndrome) experience sensory and movement issues, and how these affect their quality of life. Researchers will compare 351 teens with and without tics using questionnaires, brain activity tests, and motor tasks. The goal is to better understand these challenges so that future treatments can address the full range of symptoms, not just tics.
