First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested a traditional Chinese herbal drink called Tiaozhong-Yiqi Decoction (TZYD) in 80 adults going through substance withdrawal. Half received the herbal drink twice daily for 3 months plus standard care; the other half got standard care alone. Researchers measured withdrawal symptoms, cravings, quality of life, and blood markers like neurotransmitters and inflammation. The goal was to see if TZYD can ease withdrawal and understand how it might work.
