Summary
This study looked at 120 adults having their thyroid gland removed. It compared a special sealing tool (LigaSure) to the traditional method of tying knots to see which one causes fewer injuries to the nerve that controls the voice. The goal is to find a safer way to perform thyroid surgery and protect patients' voices.
