Nerve block may ease surgical stress in thyroid patients
NCT ID NCT07600580
First seen May 24, 2026 ยท Last updated May 24, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a nerve block given during thyroid surgery can lower the body's stress response, as measured by stress markers in blood and saliva. 48 adults having their thyroid removed will be split into two groups: one gets standard anesthesia, the other gets the same plus a nerve block. If the block works, it could help patients recover faster after surgery.
