NCT ID NCT07582562
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study follows 300 adults in Estonia who are having their entire thyroid gland removed. The goal is to find out why some people develop hypoparathyroidism (low calcium levels) after surgery, and whether magnesium levels play a role. Participants answer a questionnaire and provide blood samples before and after surgery. The results will help doctors better predict and prevent this complication.
