First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study will compare two anesthesia methods—total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) and inhaled gas—in 100 adults having thyroid surgery. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer airway problems like coughing or throat spasms after the breathing tube is removed. Researchers will also check how well nerve monitoring works during surgery.
