First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a new procedure called nanosecond pulsed field ablation (nsPFA) to treat benign (non-cancerous) thyroid nodules. The goal is to see if this non-surgical treatment can shrink nodules and improve quality of life. About 30 adults aged 18 to 80 with confirmed benign nodules larger than 2 cm will take part. The procedure uses short electrical pulses to target the nodule without cutting the skin.
