Eye scans reveal hidden blood vessel changes in thyroid patients
NCT ID NCT07341347
Summary
This study aimed to understand how thyroid eye disease affects the tiny blood vessels in the back of the eye. Researchers used advanced eye scans and MRI images to measure these vessels in 68 patients with the condition and compared them to healthy individuals. The goal was to see if changes in eye muscles and fat are linked to changes in blood flow, which could help doctors better understand the disease.
