Blue dye could help surgeons spare vital glands in thyroid cancer operations
NCT ID NCT07354698
Summary
This study is testing whether a special blue dye helps surgeons during robotic thyroid cancer surgery. The dye is injected to stain lymph nodes blue, which may help the surgeon remove more cancerous nodes while better seeing and avoiding the tiny parathyroid glands. Researchers will compare surgery outcomes for 114 patients who get the dye versus those who do not.
