First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding thymoquinone (a compound from black seed) to the standard pain drug pregabalin could better relieve nerve pain in people with diabetes. Fifty adults with diabetic peripheral neuropathy took either the combination or pregabalin alone for two months. The goal was to see if the combination improved pain, nerve function, and markers of inflammation.
