Black seed extract shows promise for diabetic nerve damage

NCT ID NCT07313111

Summary

This study tested whether adding thymoquinone, a compound from black seed oil, to the standard nerve pain medication pregabalin could better treat diabetic nerve damage. Fifty adults with diabetic neuropathy took either pregabalin alone or with thymoquinone for two months. Researchers measured changes in nerve function, pain levels, and blood markers of inflammation and stress.
