Could sweet honey be the sour solution for cancer Patients' dry mouth?

NCT ID NCT05859711

Summary

This study tested if rinsing with thyme honey could relieve severe dry mouth in head and neck cancer patients after radiation therapy. 90 patients were randomly assigned to use either a diluted thyme honey rinse or a saltwater rinse several times a day for about two months. Researchers measured how dry patients' mouths felt, how much saliva they produced, and other signs to see if the honey rinse was more helpful.
