NCT ID NCT06836349

First seen Jun 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to recover after surgery for a torn thumb tendon. About 380 people will be randomly assigned to either wear a cast for four weeks or start moving their thumb early. The goal is to see which approach lowers the risk of the tendon re-rupturing while still allowing good movement and strength.
