New injection combo tested for thumb arthritis pain relief
NCT ID NCT03431584
Summary
This study tested whether adding hyaluronic acid to a standard steroid injection provides better pain relief for thumb arthritis. Researchers compared the combination treatment against steroid injections alone in 150 adults with persistent thumb pain. The goal was to see if the two-drug approach reduces pain more effectively than the single-drug treatment.
