First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving clot-busting drugs (thrombolysis) to people with a moderate-to-severe lung clot (pulmonary embolism) and a low risk of bleeding could lower the chance of death within 30 days. The study included 100 patients and tracked deaths from cardiac arrest due to the clot, as well as any major bleeding events. The goal was to see if the treatment is both effective and safe for this specific group.
