Gentle breathing trick may speed heart surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT06814951
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026
Summary
This study tests a gentle breathing technique called thoraco-abdominal rebalancing (TAR) in 26 adults who just had heart bypass surgery. The goal is to see if TAR improves diaphragm function and reduces breathing discomfort better than standard physical therapy. If effective, it could offer a simple way to help patients recover more comfortably after heart surgery.
