NCT ID NCT07498699
First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at how the chest wall changes after removing the metal bar used to correct pectus excavatum (funnel chest). Researchers took 3D images of 69 patients before bar removal, right after, and at 6 and 12 months later. The goal was to see if the chest shape stays corrected or starts to sink back, and to find factors that might predict recurrence.
