Could thicker baby formula stop frightening infant breathing scares?

NCT ID NCT04477460

Summary

This study is looking at whether thickening infant formula with rice cereal helps babies who have experienced frightening breathing episodes called BRUEs. Researchers will follow 250 infants under 1 year old for a year, comparing those who receive thickened feeds to those who don't. They want to see if this simple feeding change reduces repeat episodes, hospital visits, and parent anxiety.
