Can special sounds lull exhausted nurses to sleep?
NCT ID NCT07440264
Summary
This study tested whether listening to a special audio track designed to encourage theta brainwaves, combined with natural sounds, could improve sleep quality for healthcare workers on rotating shifts. Thirty-four hospital workers in Indonesia with poor sleep listened to either the experimental audio or a placebo sound for 20-30 minutes daily for two weeks. Researchers measured changes in their self-reported sleep quality and brainwave patterns to see if the sound therapy helped.
