Phone camera could help doctors see inside Kids' burns

NCT ID NCT03702972

Summary

This study aimed to test if a simple thermal camera attached to a smartphone could help doctors quickly figure out how deep a child's burn is. It planned to measure temperature differences between burned and healthy skin in children under 18 with second-degree burns. The goal was to see if this method could help decide sooner if a skin graft is needed, potentially shortening hospital stays.
