Healing waters: can a spa cure ease the pain of failing leg veins?
NCT ID NCT07362719
Summary
This study is testing whether a 3-week thermal water treatment at a French spa center can safely reduce symptoms like pain, swelling, and skin changes in people with severe chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition where leg veins struggle to send blood back to the heart. It will involve 84 adults who will either receive the spa treatment or not, and researchers will track changes in their symptoms and quality of life over 6 months. The goal is to see if this non-drug, non-surgical approach provides meaningful relief.
