New program aims to help grandmothers reclaim their roles after stroke

Summary

This study is testing a new group therapy program designed to help older mothers improve their daily life, health, and sense of wellbeing after having a stroke or living with other long-term health conditions. The program uses discussions and activities related to their role as a mother or grandmother to motivate participation. Researchers will enroll about 30 women aged 70 and older to see if the program is practical and helpful.
