New therapies aim to ease the heavy burden on dementia caregivers

Summary

This study is testing whether group and individual therapy sessions can help reduce grief, stress, and feelings of being overwhelmed in family members and friends who are caring for someone with dementia. Researchers will work with 60 unpaid caregivers to see if these talk therapies improve their mental well-being. The goal is to provide better support for people facing the emotional challenges of caregiving.
