New therapy aims to ease the heavy emotional burden of advanced cancer

NCT ID NCT07312760

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, short-term talk therapy can help people with advanced cancer who are struggling with deep fear, hopelessness, and distress about their illness and future. Researchers will compare this new therapy to the usual psychological care to see which is better at reducing these difficult feelings. The goal is to improve quality of life for 160 patients dealing with the emotional weight of a serious diagnosis.
