New study tests therapies to ease the heavy burden on cancer caregivers
NCT ID NCT07329868
Summary
This study tested two types of talk therapy to help people caring for a loved one with cancer. Researchers compared Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Stress Management (CBSM) to see which better reduced caregivers' fear, stress, and fatigue. Sixty-six caregivers were randomly assigned to receive one of the two therapies or no therapy, attending eight group sessions over four weeks.
