Furry friends fight fear: dogs tested to calm kids at the dentist

NCT ID NCT06057090

Summary

This study is testing whether having a certified therapy dog present during dental procedures can help reduce anxiety and improve behavior in children aged 3-7 who need an injection. Researchers will compare children who have a therapy dog with them to those who do not, measuring heart rate, oxygen levels, and behavior. The study also asks parents for their views and checks if the dog affects germs in the room.
