Can a healing touch ease the stress of dialysis?
NCT ID NCT07061353
Summary
This study is testing whether a complementary therapy called 'therapeutic touch' can help reduce stress and improve comfort for people receiving hemodialysis treatment for kidney failure. Researchers will compare 60 patients, with half receiving the gentle touch therapy sessions during dialysis and half receiving their usual care. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach can make the challenging dialysis process more manageable and improve patients' well-being.
