First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aims to create and test a Thai version of a questionnaire that measures how well children recover after surgery. Researchers will translate the original English tool, adapt it for Thai culture, and then test it with 130 children aged 2-17 at Siriraj Hospital. The goal is to give doctors and families a simple way to track recovery and improve care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a reliable tool for doctors in Thailand to measure how well children recover after surgery, improving care and patient experience.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage validation study (130 participants) at one hospital. The tool may not work as well in other settings or for all children.
