Can texts and school supplies keep teens with HIV healthy?
NCT ID NCT07377760
Summary
This study aims to help teenagers with HIV remember to take their daily medication. Researchers will test if sending reminder text messages, combined with small non-cash rewards like school supplies or sports items, improves medication-taking habits. They'll compare this approach against standard care in 327 adolescents in Ethiopia to see which method works better for keeping teens healthy and engaged in their care.
